The Indiana Fever have clinched a spot in the 2026 WNBA playoffs, and it’s thanks in large part to the outstanding play of their two guards, Caitlin Clark and Kelsey Mitchell, who are both having career years.
Clark is averaging 22.1 points and 8.3 assists entering Friday night’s game against the Connecticut Sun, while Mitchell is averaging 24.8 points while shooting 51% from the field and 45.5% from the three-point line.
As the regular season enters the home stretch, the Fever have begun launching social media campaigns for their players to win individual awards. However, for MVP, the social media admin couldn’t decide which guard to highlight, and went with a video calling for both of them to receive the award.

“The Fever are a joke franchise.”
Some fans, though, felt it was disrespecful to not champion Clark and Clark alone for the award, as she’s the only player in the league who is top three in both points and asssits per game.
“You idiots. Professional sports is not a participation trophy for everyone scenario. This is not elementary school on the 1990’s. Caitlin Clark needs to demand a trade before the 2027 season. The Fever are a joke franchise. She deserves to play for a professional organization,” one fan posted on X.
“Disrespectful af. cc deserves the MVP and y’all trying to make this meritocracy award a group project,” someone else posted.
“(The Fever) take the cake for the dumbest organization in the history of the league. They just made sure neither KM or CC can win MVP by launching a ‘Co-MVP’ campaign. You are telling voters to split the votes. Both may even slip out of Top 5 now. Idiots,” another person wrote.
Ultimately, this is probably all a moot point, as Las Vegas Aces star A’ja Wilson has the strongest case in the league to take home MVP honors yet again. Still, the Fever campaign isn’t as foolish as some fans seems to believe. It was only last year when Wilson and Alanna Smith were co-DPOY. Whose to say it won’t happen again.
