GCU Men’s Basketball continues to put its name on the national map, announcing via social media on Tuesday morning that the program has secured a record 20 national TV broadcasts for the upcoming season.
After setting a program record with 13 national TV appearances last year, the Lopes are shattering that mark with 20 total broadcasts this time around. GCU also leads the Mountain West Conference with 17 league games slated for national television. New Mexico trails just behind with 16, making the Lopes and Lobos two of only five Mountain West basketball programs with double-digit showings on the national stage.
The GCU basketball national TV schedule features matchups spread across FS1, The CW, and CBS.
The Lopes make their national television debut on CBS Sports Network during the Acrisure Series in Palm Desert, California, facing Saint Louis on Nov. 24 and either Stanford or Colorado on Nov. 25. Later in the non-conference slate, they’ll travel to Jacksonville on Dec. 18 to battle the Florida Gators-a potential preseason No. 1 team-in front of an ESPNU audience.
GCU Men’s Basketball officially tips off its season at home on Oct. 27 with an exhibition matchup against the Western New Mexico University Mustangs.
