2026-27 NBA Rookie of the Year odds favorites
Cameron Boozer
Cameron Boozer is a slight favorite in the market following an impressive showing at NBA Summer League, where he led the Memphis Grizzlies to the championship game against Yaxel Lendeborg and the Golden State Warriors.
Boozer has the highest probability of winning the award in large part because he's joining a team with plenty of usage up for grabs. The Grizzlies traded Jaren Jackson Jr. at last season's trade deadline and sent Ja Morant to the Portland Trail Blazers over the summer, leaving a significant opportunity for Boozer to step into a featured offensive role.
Caleb Wilson
Caleb Wilson has been one of the biggest risers in this market throughout the offseason, as he was trading at just 7% on Polymarket immediately following the NBA Draft in late June.
A big reason for his rise, similar to Boozer, was his impressive performance at NBA Summer League, where he averaged 23.5 points per game in just 27.7 minutes. Wilson rarely shot from three during his time at North Carolina, but he flashed the ability to knock down threes at Summer League, which generated plenty of intrigue around his offensive potential.
AJ Dybantsa
AJ Dybantsa was the first overall pick in the NBA Draft and has an NBA-ready game, but his probability of winning the NBA Rookie of the Year award sits at only 21% because of his potential usage with the Washington Wizards.
The Wizards have a lot of mouths to feed following the acquisitions of Trae Young and Anthony Davis at last season's NBA trade deadline, and Dybantsa isn't the only young player on the roster looking for shots, with Alex Sarr and Kyshawn George also competing for opportunities. Dybantsa is talented, but his role isn't as clear-cut as Boozer's or Wilson's.
