Recap:
- The whole team was present, minus Luigi Suigo. Which means that any chance of another backup center seems to be gone.
- Kwame Evans Jr. is in a walking boot, but Kevin Willard says it’s not a long-term issue. I interpreted it as more precautionary, which is common in these instances.
- Matt Hodge seems less likely to be ready for the start of the year. Willard mentioned December 1st as a possibility on Jon Rothstein’s podcast recently, so I’m not surprised to hear that he’s uncertain at best about Hodge’s availability in Rome.
- It’s cool to see guys like Enoch Boakye, Hakim Hart and Joe Cremo come back to campus, even though they only spent one year there (it’s awesome that Mark Armstrong came back, as well).
- There’s even more hype about Jake Fiegen now, which has made it hard to ignore. The Cornell transfer might not start for the Wildcats, but he will likely be the top reserve this upcoming season.
- The point guard spot should be just fine with Elijah Crawford and Buddy Simmons II in the fold.
