The Philadelphia 76ers announced on Tuesday that they have signed center Tacko Fall, guard Jameer Nelson Jr. and forward Saint Thomas.
The 76ers didn't announce terms of the deals or if any or all of them are two-way contracts. Nelson is the son of the team's executive vice president of basketball operations, Jameer Nelson, who played 14 seasons in the NBA.
Fall, who stands at 7-foot-6, has a new contract following a three-season absence from the NBA. He previously played parts of two seasons with the Boston Celtics from 2019-21 and 11 games, including one start for the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2021-22.

In 37 career NBA games, Fall has averaged 2.2 points, 2.4 rebounds and 0.8 blocks in 6.2 minutes per game. He's played internationally in China and New Zealand since last playing in the NBA, most recently with China's Ningbo Rockets.
The 76ers don't have much experience behind oft-injured All-NBA center Joel Embiid. Adem Bona (4.8 points in 16.6 mpg last season) and Ariel Hukporti (2.2 points in 9.2 mpg) sit behind Embiid on the depth chart.
It's not clear if the 76ers view Fall as someone who can provide depth on the NBA roster or a player to start the season with their G League affiliate, the Delaware Blue Coats.
Nelson, 6-2, plays point guard, like his father. He played five seasons in college from 2019-24 with George Washington, Delaware and TCU, averaging 13.5 points, 4 rebounds and 2.8 assists while shooting 31.1% from 3. In his most productive season with Delaware in 2022-23, Nelson averaged 20.6 points, 4.6 rebounds and 3.6 assists.
Nelson went undrafted out of college and has never played in the NBA. He started his pro career in 2024-25 with San Antonio's G League affiliate, the Austin Spurs, and played in 2025-26 with Sacramento's G-League affiliate, the Stockton Kings. He's also played internationally in Canada, China and Puerto Rico, most recently with Osos de Manatí in Puerto Rico's top basketball league.
Thomas is a 6-7 forward who played four seasons of college basketball with Loyola, Northern Colorado and USC. He averaged 9.5 points, 5.9 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game as a senior starter for USC in 2024-25. He went undrafted out of college and has played for the Blue Coats since 2025.
The 76ers are coming off a remarkable offseason in which they traded for Jaylen Brown and signed LeBron James as a free agent. They'll enter the 2026-27 season with expectations to compete for an NBA championship.
